Tips for a Successful Trance Journey - read this first!

  • wear something comfortable and cozy

  • grab a blanket, pillow, yoga mat, etc

  • you can sit or lay down but i don’t recommend doing these while actively doing other tasks like cooking or driving

  • sometimes i like to do trance journeys in the warm bath - but please be careful not to fall asleep in the tub

  • relaaax, bb. there are no expectations for your experience with these trance journeys. what you receive is what you need. you can always do them again (in fact, i encourage it)

  • if closing your eyes is uncomfortable, scary, or triggering, try gazing into a crystal, candle flame, a mirror (this one is not for the faint of heart!), or the furthest point in the room, allowing your eyes to gently lose focus

  • the more you repeat any particular trance journey, the deeper your connection to the experience becomes. Try doing this exercise once (or twice!) per week for four consecutive weeks. I recommend listening to this trance journey before bed, so that you can integrate it’s messages as you sleep.

  • if you struggle to “visualize” at first, that’s totally normal and okay!! again, repeating an exercise helps you connect with the visions w greater ease. also, not everyone “sees” their visualizations - you might experience your “visualizations” thru a knowing, thru a guide communicating with you, or thru other senses/sensations.

  • if you find that your visions wander away from my voice - that’s okay!! my voice isn’t meant to restrict your visions, only to guide you to them. let your spirits wander with you if that’s what needs to happen. if you feel nervous or unsafe, come back to my voice.

  • share your experiences with these exercises in the discord!! we are going thru a journey together as a cohort. it is likely that we will notice certain connections or parallels in some of our experiences.

  • what you experience in these trance journeys become a part of your collective unconscious, part of your references when translating the tarot. take a few minutes after the journey to write in your journal any parts of the vision you remember or feel called to document
